Messageboat Anti-Spam Policy

By creating a Messageboat client account and agreeing to Terms of Use, Clients are also agreeing to this anti-spam policy.

SPAM is any email you send to someone who hasn't given you their direct permission to contact them on the topic of the email.

What kind of email addresses are ok to send to with Messageboat?

Messageboat clients must have clearly obtained customers permission before applying an email campaign. To do that clients must;

• Put an email newsletter subscribe form on their web site.
• Put an opt-in checkbox on a form. This checkbox must be UNCHECKED by default, the customer completing the form must willingly select the checkbox to indicate they want to hear from the client.
• If an customer fills an offline form like a survey or statistical study, clients can only contact them if it was explained to the customers would be contacted by email AND they ticked a box indicating they would like to be contacted.
• Apply campaigns to Customers who have purchased from Client within the last 2 years.
• If a customer gives the client their business card and client has explicitly asked for permission to add them to campaign list, client can contact them.

What kind of email addresses are not ok to send with Messageboat?

Anything outside the examples above does not have permission to apply. By using Messageboat, clients agree not to import or send messages to any e-mail address which:

• Clients do not have explicit, provable permission to contact in relation to the topic of the campaign applied.
• Clients bought, loaned, rented or in any way acquired from a third party, no matter what they claim about permissions. Clients must obtain permissions by themselves.
• Clients haven't contacted via email in the last 2 years.
• Clients scraped or copied and pasted from the web.

What content Must clients include in their campaign?

• A single-click unsubscribe link. Once the customer unsubscribe, clients can never email them again.
• Clients must put their name and physical address of their company or foundation.
